Great range of products but let down by lack of staff on tills. Way too reliant on customers doing their job for them at self service checkouts.
Coop know as a convenient store. Good produce. But can't compete wth the likes of Sainsbury.
The co-op or cooperative was started by the Rochdale pioneers. You can become a member of the co-op. The Witney co-op was a Safeway a few years ago. The coop was where Robert Dyas is now by the town hall. You can park behind the co-op. The photos are of a few item available. The ginger stuff can be made in to a fantastic ginger wine. I can post a recipe if anyone is interested.
Never seem to have much stock when offers are on. Also starting to get expensive. Can get better quality food for same price in M&S
Call me old fashioned but I remember a Co-op with manned tills and while not being exactly M&S it was a friendly place to shop. The new lay out with self check out is cold and sterile. Staff are very thin on the ground, though my heart goes out to them as they look rushed off their feet.So 5/5 for corporate efficiency and 0/5 for actually being somewhere I might want to shop.
