We came for the ghost stories! It was such a lovely evening of mulled wine and spooky ghost stories from the turn of the century. Cuddled up under a blanket on a hay bail in an old barn as a theatrical ghost story teller performed. It was a fantastic experience and I'm definitely going again this year! It would also be great if someone spoke about the ghosts that reside in the house too maybe after the stories.
Idyllic small farm with beautiful barns and manor house. Wonderful friendly community/volunteer staff. Perfect setting for a wedding looking too!
We visited for the Santa steam train and it exceeded all expectations. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the decorations were beautiful and it all felt so magical. Worth every penny.
Had a lovely afternoon here. Nice just to have a chill and walk round. Loved looking at some of the unusual plants in the garden. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The cafe was a nice place to relax and the food was delicious. If you've got young children it would be an ideal place to go.
I have a 2 year old and a 5year old and they loved it, especially the adventure area and the tractor which you can sit and climb on. There was not a great variety of animals to see but the children didn't seem to mind. The gift shop was also a good hit with the children and with me as there was a good selection of toys for under 5. There was not a wide variety of food in the cafe but the prices were reasonable. Overall it was a great way to keep the children entertained. For parents, the staff were friendly and helpful and the entry price was very reasonable.
